JOHN or ADINA EMERY

My grandmother Adina Emery born March 13, 1908 in Pineville, KY (Bell Co.) - Feb. 15, 1965 (Hairm, KY). Married to Thomas J. Tuttle. Her father was John Emery. Believed to be born in Tennessee but not proven. He was married to a woman named Rodie (last name possibly Johnson) and they resided in Kentucky. Rodie is thought to be of American Indian descent (judging by her picture), possibly Cherokee. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks!

ISHMAEL WORTH EMERY of TN

Can anyone tell me anything about Ishmael Worth Emery of Crossville Tenn. he was my great grandfather and was married to Della Woodie. They also lived in Harlin County Kentucky, they had a son named John Rr. and a son named I.W. and a son named Woody Emery. Daughters were Geneva, Anis, and Linnie and Daisy Mae. SOPHIA EMERY

I am searching for the family of Sophia Emery, born June 3, 1809 probably Ft. Erie, Ont.and died April 9, 1891 probably in Jackson Co., OH. She married first Caleb Dorsey, who died Aug. 26, 1830 in Chillocothe, Ross Co., OH, at the age of 25. He may have working on the Ohio Canal. She married second Charles McKinnis in 1831 in Ross Co, OH. Her parents MAY be Samuel Emery d. 1855 in OH and Sally Desmond d. 1857 in OH, but we have no proof. They were both born in VT, and had a daughter Sophia while living in FT. Erie. If anyone can connect my Sophia, I would greatly appreciate it.

just started my research.....after reading your page, so many things sounded framilier, my mother died right before my 13th. birthday, but her stories of her being, Dutch, Irish, and Indian (Cherokee) blood line sounds oh so framilier.....my mother was born in Cincinnatti, Ohio, her mother....Mary Lillian EMERY (Smith)......they had 6 children including my mother, all born in Tenn, except my mother and her sister, born in Cincinnati, Ohio

My Emery line goes back to Robert J. Emery b. 1820's married Rhoda Jane Andrews 10/1842. Rhoda b.7/7/1826 d.4/5/1901. Rhoda was daughter of Nancy Franklin (a supposedly niece/grandniece etc. of Benjamin Franklin's).  Anyways, attempting to find Robert's parents, etc. Children are: Charles  b.3/6/1945, Horace b.12/14/1846, Lois Helen b.3/11/1847, Robert Eugene  b.8/2/1848, John Henery b.8/5/1851, William b.12/24/1954, Walter b.3/21/1956, Albert b.10/5/1859, Mary b.11/4/1861 and Arthur b.11/15/1865. Mostly settled in NY State. Orleans and surrounding counties.Any assistance or connections would be great!
