NAME: Andy Emery

I am researching my gf, Albert J. Emery born July 1862 in Indiana, married Minnie Daisy Clark in 1886 and died in august 1923. Do you think there is any connection to any of your Emery's or Emry's. He was a policeman in Bloomington, Illinois around 1890-1900 and was often listed in the city directory as "Emry". As far as I know his father's name was Charles Wesley Emery. Thanks in advance for any information.

NAME: Pat McDonald

STEPHEN EMBREY/EMRY/EMMORY

This name gets spelled many different ways. Later lines settled on EMORY. I am looking for any information about the STEPHEN EMBREY/EMRY/EMMORY who is mentioned in Laurens Co. SC Wills. He must have died about 1797 SC. His will mentions a child, MARGARET, who I suspect is my ancestor who married JOHN MCDONALD b 1792. STEPHEN is on 1790 census of Laurens. Steve is probably RWS, but cannot locate his records.

John and Margaret moved to TN where most of their children were born in early ca 1815-1830, then just across the state line to Lauderdale, AL. Family lore is that Margaret had two brothers in the area.

There was a Quaker EMBREE family in the Laurens area, but I cannot make any connection to STEPHEN. Some of those names (late 1700s) were JOHN & Mary, and his brother, MOSES. WILLIAM EMBRY

There were some EMBRY folks in early Franklin Co. TN too, but once again, no tie-in, or clues. They seem to be descendants of RWS, JOSEPH EMBRY b 1753.

Anybody working on South Carolina, TN, AL guys?

Looking for information about William Emery. He married a Margaret Sadler on 5Sept1815 and died 27May1869. He had at least five children born between the years of 1828-1848. His son Balthus, through whom I am descended eventually settlled in Marion Co., IL. Balthus was born In PN although I do not know what county (15Oct1828). I believe some family members are buried in Hunterdon Co., NJ

Married Mary Wilkin or Wilkins (1816-1905) on 19 Aug 1833 in Whitchurch Twp, York Co, Ontario. Father of John was believed to be Peter who was born circa 1774 in PA. ADAM EMRY

Looking for information on Adam EMRY, will probated in Kentucky in 1820. List Sally as his wife, with sons Issac and Joseph, several daughters. The name may have been changed to EMLY by Issac, and then to EMILY by subsequent generations. Issac and others moved to Harrison County, Indiana in the mid-1800s. The names Samuel, John, Henry, are used in the family, as I noticed they are used in other Emry groups. Would appreciate any help.
